more about me
My name is Lynn Jordan, and I know exactly what it means to build a strong future on a lean budget and in a tight space. I’ve been the woman starting over—twice-widowed, moving through five different states, living in apartments, fighting through illness and natural disasters, and navigating life on my own. My decades of experience prepping and living this lifestyle aren’t just theoretical; they were forged in the reality of making things work with zero compromises on safety.
In 2020, while on lockdown with everyone else, I noticed that while there was an enormous amount of prepping media, none spoke to me - a single woman living in the city. I took that realization and my years of prepping and forged Urban Lady Prepper to make the prepping world more inclusive for solo women and single moms, who often have to overcome more hurdles to ensure they and their dependents are safe.
As our current society moves to strip women of their choices and autonomy, it is more important than ever for me to help women become more confident in prepping for themselves and the people they love with no judgment. Just solid, actionable advice they can apply regardless of location, income, and whether they have kids and/or pets.
I am YOU. I am a middle-aged, full-time working woman doing my best to make my own way. I’m not a Lara Croft wannabe or an internet influencer trying to gain clout by exploiting women who need real advice, not a masterclass. I’m here to ensure you’re ready for any disaster, regardless of what form it may take.
My offerings are modestly priced because our tight budgets and my desire to keep my information accessible to all. I thank all of my listeners and supporters, especially those who have been there from the beginning. We will continue to grow a community full of strong, resilient women who will make the world a better, more livable, and sustainable place.
